Michael + Carly = Marly
These two are just too cute. We have to say their love story is downright adorable.
Growing up, Mike was best friends with Carly’s brother so he was always over at the house and he was practically a part of the family.
Eventually, he figured out what a hottie Carly was and asked her brother if it’d be ok if they dated. Yeah, he actually asked permission.
Like we said, too cute. Right??
The wedding day was such a great experience. When we showed up, it was immediately obvious the families have been friends for years
and that everyone was extremely close. There wasn’t a his side and her side, it was all their side – all their family.
We were welcomed into the fold and we had such a great time. It was so incredibly special and we’re so thankful
we were able to capture these moments for them.
Carly started her day with pedicures and Mike started his with Laser tag. Yep, our kind of people.
They were married at the Semper Fidelis Memorial Chapel and can we just say, that place is stunning. The way the light
streams in through the large glass windows – its just breathtaking. These two had the little chapel packed (with overflow!) of people
who were there to support them and watch them become man and wife. Afterwards their reception was held at the Marine Corps Museum
and that was just ah-mazing. They partied late into the night and we even heard whispers of an after party!
We had a fantastic time and we wish you two all the best! Hopefully we finally make it to Mainstreet for some cornhole some day! 😀
We don’t normally break up posts for explanation but take a look at that slip – over 100 years old.
It has been worn in almost every wedding on Carly’s side of the family. The picture below, of Carly and her mother,
is a recreation of a picture each lady in the family gets on her wedding day. Such a great tradition!
